Breakfast in bed with my favorite sister! // Carnival is coming up ;) // Sushi night with my loves ♥

Watching my brother's handball game // Yummy pasta dinner at Vapiano // Just being crazy cause Taylor Swift is coming up... what should we wear??!!

Favorite reason not to listen to my professor during my literature class // Excited for the weekend // Free coffee cause the system broke down... thanks Vapiano ;)

I'm really exited for this upcoming weekend :) I'm heading to Berlin tomorrow and staying there until Sunday. Tomorrow is also the day when I'll finally get to see Taylor Swift perform live at the O2 World Arena and on Saturday I'll be at the 10 year anniversary party of LB films at the Intercontinental Hotel. Will anyone else be there? Or what are your plans for this upcoming weekend?

[Travel] Waterloo - finally facing my waterloo

Days 3 and 4 in London

So day 3 basically consisted of shopping, cooking and walking through chinatown while the rain was pouring down on us :D We went to Primark, Topshop, River Island, Zara, Berschka... well the typical places on Oxford Street (here's what I bought >click<). Afterwards we decided to cook pasta together and then we actually wanted to go to a pub in Soho or Chinatown, but it was so crowded everywhere and we were soaking wet after a few meters so we decided to go back to our apartment and have drinks there. Also, London's chinatown is not as big as we had imagined so we were also a little disappointed. Not a very eventful day, but I guess a "shopping-day" never is ;)

Day 4 or March 17th 2013 or... St Patrick's Day! Yes, we actually got to spend St Patrick's Day in London and see the big parade on Picadilly Circus. Summer and I had already bought green wigs back at home (last picture) and then it turned out that we were about the only people wearing green wigs and other tourists started taking pictures of us! Haha, yeah that was fun, but sadly the parade was sort of disappointing, because a lot of trucks were simply empty and a lot of groups were not even dressed up. So I've definitly seen better carnival parades here in Germany.

Tag 4 oder 17. März 2013 oder... St Patrick's Day!

We spent our last couple of hours in London at an Italian restaurant (Azurro) which is right beside the Waterloo station. It was actually a really nice place and they had a special lunch offer where you only had to pay 8£ for any pasta or pizza dish and a soft drink. I had pasta with a tomato sauce and shrimps and it was maybe the best I've ever had even though they could have served a larger portion (the pizzas had a really good size though). Before leaving the city we headed into the Waterloo station and got donuts and filled donuts. Since Waterloo was basically our London song (we sang it everytime a sign said waterloo) it was the perfect ending to a perfect (but too short) vacation ♥

So that was it for my report about my days in London. If you have any questions feel free to ask and in case you missed days 1 and 2 here are the links:

Day 1 in London

Day 2 in London

My London Tipps:

#9 Soho & Chinatown
Always worth visiting, but there are bigger and nicer chinatowns in other cities... Also if you want to go to a nice pub try it somewhere else! The ones in Soho are all pretty crowded in the evenings so you'll have more fun if you go to e.g. Notting Hill

Probierts dann lieber in z.B. Notting Hill.

#10 St Patrick's Day Parade
If you're in the city anyways, then it is defintily worth a small visit, but you'll probably not stay for a very long time, because it's really not that spectacular. Also, try not to stand directly at the entrance of a tube station cause it's always really crowded there and then there are spots further along the parade that are almost completely empty.

#11 Azurro
Nice Italian restaurant next to the Waterloo Station. Has a special lunch offer where you get any pasta or pizza dish plus a softdrink for only 8£.

[Travel] Make it last forever friendship never ends

Day 2 in London

So the first thing we did on our second day in London was we headed to Camden Town, because its been my favorite part of London ever since I first visited. I just love the vibe and the craziness there even though it's become so full of tourists in the last couple of years. The first three photos are just typical pictures of the main street and Camden Market, but then come two pictures of my favorite little shop in Camden Town. It doesn't even have a name but it has the best not-so-typical souvenirs that you can bring your parents, best friends, grannies etc. We also had lunch in Camden Town at Max Orient, but it's not really a place I would recommend. It's an all you can eat/buffett place and it was not that expensive (about 8 £), but apart from the the shrimps, the curry with rice and the desserts nothing was that great. Some things were even rather disgusting (especially the sweet&sour sauce) so unless you really just want to eat shrimps, curry and desserts, I wouldn't go there again.

Since it was raining that day, we decided to head to a museum. It was either Tate Modern or the Natural History Museum and since only two people were really interested in the Arts, we decided to go to the latter. Even though I'm not a huge museum fan in general, I actually really enjoyed this one. The dinosaurs were really cool and so were the mammals and the human body part, I just didn't really enjoy looking at minerals and stones for an hour but I guess that just really depends on what you prefer.

We actually wanted to drive to Notting Hill to have dinner at a pub after that, but we ended up getting off at the wrong station and landed in Paddington :D Wasn't that bad though, because we then walked a bit from Paddington to Notting Hill and somewhere in between we found this really cool pub called Redan. It belongs to the Original Pub Company and the food was somewhere between 5 and 7 pounds and the cosmopolitan pitcher (last picture) was only 10£. I had chili con carne (I ordered it without rice so I got more chili) and then the others had burgers, wraps and Summer had a salad (second picture). Have I mentioned that I am obsessed with tortilla salad bowls?!

So that was are amazing second day in London. Stay tuned for days 3 and 4 and if you haven't read day 1 yet:

Day 1 in London

My London Tipps:

#5 Don't go to Max Orient:
Not an entirely horrible restaurant, but I can't recommend it either.

#6 Cute Shop:
Look for the cute shop from pictures 4 and 5. If you walk from the tube station (Camden Town) to Camden Lock, there's a small bridge right after the Starbucks and then comes the big market on the left. And the shop is in the one building there and the entrance of the store faces directly towards the street. It has no name or sign, but it's turquoise outside.

#7 Natural History Museum:
Defintily worth visiting especially if it's raining outside. And the best thing about it: Free entrance!

#8 Redan:
Really nice pub, good food and drinks and not too expensive! (1 Westbourne Grove, City of Westminster)

(1 Westbourne Grove, City of Westminster)
