[Travel] California here we come right back where we started from

Von meiner ersten Woche in LA hatte ich ja bereits berichtet, nun folgt hier der zweite Teil. An meinem zweiten Wochenende in LA fanden die Teen Choice Awards statt  und als Hardcore Glee und Pretty Little Liars Fan musste ich natürlich dabei sein ;) Falls ihr überhaupt nicht promi-interessiert seid dann überspringt den folgenden Teil einfach :D

I already told you about my first week in LA and this is now the second part. The Teen Choice Awards took place during my second weekend in LA and as a hardcore Glee and Pretty Little Liars fan I had to buy a ticket. If you're not interested in celebrities at all, it would be best if you just skipped the next part :D

OMG wo soll ich nur anfangen?! Wahrscheinlich am besten mit dem ersten Foto. Bevor die Show überhaupt angefangen hatte hab ich eine Horde Mädels gesehen, die um einen jungen Typen rumstanden und als ich gecheckt hab wer er ist bin ich vielleicht ein kleines bisschen ausgeflippt :D Der Typ war Brendan Robinson, der Lucas bei Pretty Little Liars spielt! Er war echt unglaublich nett und ich konnte mich sogar kurz mit ihm unterhalten und dann hat er auch noch ein Foto mit mir gemacht :D Haha oh Gott ich sollte aufhören so ein Fangirl zu sein, ich bin schließlich nicht mehr 13 :D Also zurück zum eigentlichen Geschehen... okay nein das geht grad auch noch nicht, denn das nächste Foto zeigt One Direction :D Ja ich gebe es zu, ich bin 21 und liebe die Musik von One Direction und ja ihr dürft mich gerne deswegen verarschen ;) Der eigentliche Grund wieso ich aber $150 für die Karte ausgegeben hab, war, dass ich unbedingt die Schauspieler aus Glee und Pretty Little Liars sehen wollte und ich wurde zum Glück nicht enttäuscht. Die Liars waren wirklich alle da und dann kam Lea Michele auch noch das erste Mal nach Cory Monteiths Tod auf die Bühne und ja der ganze Saal hat geheult und ich wahrscheinlich am allermeisten. Die Show wurde auch noch von Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) und Darren Criss (Glee) moderiert also hab ich mein Geld wirklich gut angelegt ;) Natürlich will ich euch auch nicht vorenthalten was ich zu diesem besonderen Anlass getragen habe und es ist dasselbe Kleid, das ich auch nächsten Freitag zum Taylor Swift Konzert anziehen werde.

OMG where should I start?! Probably the first picture. So before the show even started I saw a bunch of girls standing around a young guy and when I realized who it was I freaked out :D It was Brendan Robinson, who plays Lucas on Pretty Little Liars. So I ended up talking to him and he was kind enough to take a picture with me and oh my he was really sweet :D Okay I have to end the fangirling :D Back to business... Okay not really possible when the second picture shows One Direction :D So yeah I'll admit it I love their music. But the actual reasons why I spent $150 on the ticket was that I wanted to see the cast of Pretty Little Liars and Glee and I was not disappointed. All my favorite Liars were there and then Lea Michele made her first public appearance after Cory Monteith's death and yes everyone was crying including myself. The show was also hosted by two of my favorite people Lucy Hale (PLL) and Darren Criss (Glee) so yes it was worth every penny. And of course you want to know what I wore to that special occasion and it's the same dress that I'll be wearing to the Taylor Swift Concert next friday ;)

Am nächsten Abend wollten wir uns den Sonnenuntergang anschauen und dafür gibt es in LA wirklich keinen schöneren Ort als das Griffith Observatory (nein nicht mal den Strand, denn um den schönsten Sonnenuntergang am Strand zu erleben müsst ihr runter nach San Diego fahren, aber dazu später mehr ;) ). Von hier aus hat man den schönsten Blick auf die ganze Stadt und natürlich auch auf das Hollywood Sign. Das Planetarium drinnen fand ich nicht sooo spannend, aber da der Eintritt kostenlos ist, lohnt es sich schon mal reinzuschauen.

The next evening we decided to watch the sunset and there is really no better place in LA (not even the beach, you have to go to San Diego to get to most stunning beach sunset but I'll talk about that a little later on) than the Griffith Observatory. You get the most amazing view of the whole city from here and of course also of the Hollywood sign. The planetarium inside didn't wow me as much, but since it's free you should definitly at least walk in.

Eine Sache, die in unbedingt in LA machen wollte, war mal wieder zu einem Baseball Spiel zu gehen. Während meiner Kindheit in den USA war ich ein rießen Baltimore Orioles Fan und war auch mit meinen Eltern einmal im Stadion bei einem Spiel dabei. Dieses Mal durfte ich dann in LA meiner zweit Lieblings Mannschaft den LA Dodgers bei einem Spiel zuschauen und es war einfach ein unglaublich tolles Erlebnis. Das Stadion in LA ist auch immer voll mit Promis, also wenn ihr Glück habt sitzt ihr plötzlich neben eurem Lieblingsschauspieler ;)

One of the things that I was personally really exited about was that I got to the see a Dodgers baseball game. During my childhood in Pennsylvania I loved baseball so much and even got to see my favorite team ever - the Baltimore Orioles - play. So now going back into a baseball stadium and seeing my second favorite team play was such an amazing experience. Also, the stadium is always full of celebrities so if you're lucky you might end up sitting next to your favorite actor or singer.

Nach dem Baseball Spiel haben wir dann noch einen kleinen Stopp bei Diddy Riese in Westwood eingelegt, um uns eins der absolut großartigsten - und günstigsten - Ice Cream Sandwiches zu kaufen. Leider liebt diese jeder in Westwood und deswegen darf man sich schon mal eine halbe Stunde vorm Laden anstellen um eins zu kaufen, aber die sind es definitiv wert ;)

After the baseball game we headed to Diddy Riese in Westwood, which serves the best - and cheapest - ice cream sandwiches I've ever had! Since everyone in Westwood knows how great they are, you usually have to wait about half an hour to get into the store, but it's totally worth the wait ;) 

LA Tipps: 

#7 Award Shows
Natürlich sind Award Shows nicht sonderlich günstig, aber gerade wenn man so promi-fanatisch ist wie ich, dann sollte man sich so ein Event nicht entgehen lassen. Die Haupt Awardshow Zeit ist eigentlich jetzt gerade im Januar und Februar, aber es gibt auch weitere wichtige Shows, die erst später im Jahr stattfinden z.B. die Emmys oder die Teen Choice Awards.

Well yes they're usually expensive, but especially if you're a celebrity addict like I am you have to get tickets to an award show in LA. The main award show season is actually right now in January and February, but there are also important ones like the Emmys or the Teen Choice Awards that take place later on during the year.

#8 Griffith Observatory
Der perfekte Zeitpunkt um zum Griffith Observatory zu fahren ist kurz bevor die Sonne anfängt unterzugehen. So kriegt man noch tolle Bilder während die Sonne scheint, aber dann direkt auch mit dem Sonnenuntergang und dann in der kompletten Dunkelheit. Seid nicht zu spät oder zu früh dran, ihr werdet es nur bereuen ;)

You have to get there right before the sun starts to set, so you can take pictures while the sun is still shining, then while it's setting and then when it's actually really dark. Don't show up too soon or too late - you'll only regret it ;)

#9 LA Dodgers
Falls ihr Sportevents mögt, werdet ihr Baseball Spiele in LA lieben. Die Atmosphäre im Stadion der LA Dodgers ist einfach schon einzigartig, aber seid gewarnt: die Hotdogs sind nicht so gut wie alle immer sagen. Zumindest war meiner ziemlich schlecht :(

If you like watching sports events, you'll love baseball games in LA. Especially the atmosphere in the LA Dodgers Stadium is stunning, but be warned: the hot dogs there are not as great as everyone always says they are. At least mine was crap :(

10 Tage! So lang muss ich noch warten bis ich Taylor Swift endlich live auf der Bühne erleben darf :) Ich freue mich jetzt schon so rießig drauf und passend zur Red Tour ist mein Outfit heute der Farbe rot gewidmet. Naja eigentlich überwiegt schwarz, aber ich liebe den roten Rock, der einen tollen Akzent setzt. Wird noch jemand von euch nächsten Freitag live in Berlin beim Taylor Swift Konzert dabei sein?

10 days! That's how long I still have to wait until I get to see Taylor Swift live :) I'm so excited already and since it's the Red Tour I decided to dedicate my outfit to the color red today. Well actually there's a whole lot of black in it, but I love the statement that the red skirt makes. Is anyone else going to the Taylor Swift concert next friday?

[Blogvorstellung] Can you tell me now you're the lucky one?

Nachdem mein Gewinnspiel nicht sonderlich gut angekommen ist, habe ich beschlossen es etwas zu ändern. Und zwar ist der erste "Preis" nun eine Blogvorstellung. [Haul] I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game

Nachdem ich recht lange nicht mehr wirklich shoppen war, hab ich mir vor zwei Wochen mal wieder einen kleinen Ausflug in die Stadt gegönnt. Irgendwie hab ichs dann nicht mal durch die Hälfte aller Läden geschafft, in die ich wollte, weil ich wirklich in jedem Laden irgendwas gefunden hab und mein Budget dann leider schon erschöpft war ;)

Since I hadn't really bought anything in a while, I decided to go shopping again about two weeks. Somehow I ended up only visiting about half the shops I wanted to, because I found amazing stuff everywhere and then all my money was already used up ;)

Die Schuhe, den blauen Blazer und den gestreiften Rock kennt ihr schon aus meinem letzten OOTD und den roten Rock habe ich auch schon für ein OOTD fotografiert, das ich dann die nächsten Tage hochladen werde. Mein Überraschungskauf war das Kleid, denn es ist von Pimkie! Ich glaube ich habe seit der achten Klassen nichts mehr dort gekauft, aber ich wurde echt positiv überrascht und das Kleid hatte ich letzte Woche schon auf einem Geburtstag an und habe einige Komplimente dafür bekommen ;) Wie findet ihr die Teile, die ich gefunden hab?

You probably already know the blazer, the striped skirt and the shoes since I wore those in my last OOTD and I have also already worn the red skirt in an OOTD that I just haven't uploaded yet. The one thing that I was most suprised by was the dress, since I found that in a shop where I hadn't found anything since like 8th grade and  I'm totally in love with it! Do you like the things I found?

[Life] Think of all the stories that we could have told

Nachdem Julia Engelmann mit ihrem Beitrag zum Poetry Slam einen rießen Hype ausgelöst hat und ich schon viele verschiedene Beiträge auf diversen Blogs dazu gelesen hab, möchte ich mich jetzt auch mal zu der ganzen Diskussion äußern. Ich kann das was sie da sagt sehr gut nachvollziehen, denn ich versuch selber ständig meine Freunde und Verwandte von dieser Ansicht zu überzeugen. Ich bin selber ein total Lebe-Mesch und muss immer viel entdecken und bin offen für die verrücktesten Ideen und lebe ganz nach dem Motto: ich bereue nur die Dinge, die ich nicht getan habe und nicht die, die ich getan habe (und die dann vielleicht etwas in die Hose gegangen sind). Jedoch merke ich, dass das nicht für jeden was ist. Ich habe in letzter Zeit festgestellt, dass es drei Arten von Menschen gibt. 1. Die, die so sind wie ich. Das Leben voll auskosten, viel Reisen, viel entdecken, nie nein sagen, sondern immer alles ausprobieren und (fast) nichts bereuen. 2. Die Menschen, die nicht wirklich zufrieden damit sind wie ihr Leben gerade abläuft, aber auch nicht wirklich den Mut haben oder einfach noch nicht in der richtigen Situation gesteckt haben, damit der Schalter mal umklappt und sie endlich wirklich glücklich werden 3. Die Menschen, die zwar zu vielen Sachen nein sagen und nicht so abenteuerlustig sind, sondern lieber in ihrem gewohnten Umfeld bleiben, aber damit wirklich glücklich sind. Die sehen Leute aus Gruppe 1 haben aber kein Bedürfnis danach wie diese zu werden.
Ich denke wenn man zu Gruppe 1 oder 3 gehört, würde man sich berechtigterweise als glücklich bezeichnen und hat vieles richtig gemacht. Klar gibt es immer wieder Situationen, die einen etwas aus der Bahn werfen, aber man hat im Großen und Ganzen schon rausgefunden, wie man sein Leben gestalten muss um mit sich selber im Reinen zu sein. Dann gibt es aber leider viel zu viele Leute, die zu Gruppe 2 gehören - und ja ich habe da früher selber dazugehört. Eine sehr schmerzhafte Trennung hat bei mir damals den Schalter umgelegt und seitdem lebe ich mein Leben genau so wie ich das will und mache all das, was mich wirklich glücklich macht. Jedoch ist es nicht immer einfach aus Gruppe 2 rauszukommen und viele Menschen entdecken erst, dass sie zu dieser Gruppe gehören, wenn es eigentlich längst zu spät ist. Besonders ältere Menschen erzählen mir immer wieder davon, was sie doch im Nachhinein alles ändern würden und das hat selten was damit zu tun, dass sie gerne weniger gemacht oder erlebt hätten, sondern eher, dass sie wünschten sie hätten sich mal früher getraut gewisse Dinge auszuprobieren oder öfter zu reisen oder mal spontaner zu sein.

In Germany everyone is currently talking about a girl named Julia Engelmann. She took part in a Poetry Slam back in early 2013 and now her video is suddenly posted by everyone on facebook, mentioned in the news and I've also read a lot about it on different blogs. I would therefore now finally also like to say something about it. I defintily understand what she's talking about since I'm also always trying to convince my family and friends to start enjoying there lives. I myself am a person, who loves life, who enjoys every second of it and never says to no - not even to the craziest ideas. I only regret the chances I didn't take and not the ones I did. However, I realized a while back that this "lifestyle" is not the right one for everyone and that there are three different types of people. 1. The ones that enjoy life the way I do, who take risks and chances, who live life to the fullest and never look back. 2. The ones, that are not really happy with the way they're living their life, but who don't seem to have the courage or haven't been in the right life-changing situation to really change something about it. 3. The ones, that don't really take every chance they get and like to stay in their shell or around the people they already know, but who are entirely happy that way. When they see a person from group 1 they have no desire to be like that one. 
    If you're a part of group 1 or 3 you would probably say you're happy and you probably really are. Of course there are always situations that knock you off your feet, but these people usually find a way of getting back up again. Sadly, there are way too many people who are stuck in group 2 - and yes I will admit that I used to be a part of this group, too. A painful break-up caused me to rethink my life and my decisions and that's when I found a way to get out of this group and move to the first one. However, it is not always that easy to get out of group 2 and a lot of people only realize that they were a part of this group when it's already way too late. Especially older people talk to me a lot about how they wish they had had more courage and more strength to change something when they were younger and that usually doesn't involve wishing they had taken less risks and been more careful, but the exact oposite.

Dieses "zu sich selber finden" und das Leben voll auskosten lernen ist jedoch nichts was ein noch-so-guter Slam eigentlich bei der breiten Masse ändern kann - vielleicht bei einzelnen Menschen, aber nicht bei einer ganzen Nation oder besser Generation. Denn theoretisch wissen wir das doch alle, schließlich kriegen wir es tagtäglich von verschiedenen Künstlern im Radio oder von den eigenen Freunden gesagt, aber die Umsetzung fällt eben nicht jedem so einfach. Da muss meistens - wie in meinem Fall - ein persönliches Erlebnis so eine Auswirkung auf einen Menschen haben, dass man selber merkt, dass man etwas verändern muss. Von daher finde ich den extremen Hype etwas übertrieben, auch wenn ich ihr in dem was sie sagt defintiv Recht gebe und falls dieser Slam doch eine ganze Generation zum Umdenken bewegen kann dann umso besser ;)
Wie steht ihr zu dem Thema? Findet ihr euch in einer der drei Gruppen wieder oder ist meine Aufteilung eurer Meinung nach eher schwachsinnig?

Figuring out who you wanna be and learning to really enjoy your life is sadly not something that can be taught through a slam - at least I don't believe that it could change the way a whole generation is currently thinking. Because in the end don't we all already know what Julia's telling us?! There are plenty of songs out there that tell us over and over again to enjoy our lives and start living it, but to actually understand it you usually need to be specifically influenced by a certain situation - such as in my case a break-up. Therefore, I feel the whole hype is maybe a little over the top, since she's not the first and will certainly not be the last person to tell us all these things.

[OOTD] A tiger in a cage can never see the sun

Am Sonntag war ich mit meinen Eltern und meinem jüngsten Bruder Sushi essen und dabei hatte ich dieses Outfit an. Die blaue Jacke, die Schuhe und der Rock befinden sich seit letzter Woche in meinem Kleiderschrank und die Kette und die Bluse habe ich mir in Amerika gekauft. Auch bei diesem Outfit trage ich wieder eine Statement Kette, diesmal etwas schicker als beim letzten mal. Wie gefällt euch mein Outfit?

I went out for lunch with my parents and my youngest brother on sunday and this is what it wore. I bought the blue jacket, the shoes and the skirt last week and the necklace and the shirt are souvenirs of my summer in the United States. This outfit includes a statement necklace again, but this time a lot fancier than the last one. How do you like my outfit?

[Travel] You could travel the world but nothing comes close to...

... the golden coast!! Ja, Katy Perry hat eindeutig Recht! Den vergangenen Sommer habe ich damit verbracht ein Auslandssemester an der University of California Los Angeles zu absolvieren und habe dadurch wundervolle sieben Wochen an dieser "Golden Coast" gelebt und mich dabei unsterblich in sie verliebt. Dieser Post wird der erste Teil meines kleinen Rückblicks darstellen und falls ihr gerne mehr über meinen Sommer lesen wollt, dann lasst mich das unten in den Kommentaren wissen :)

...the golden coast!! Yes, Katy Perry is right! I spent this past summer studying at the University of California Los Angeles and therefore got to spend the most amazing seven weeks of my life at this famous golden coast and I fell head over heels in love with it! This is going to be the first part of my little flashback travel guide and if you enjoy reading it, then please let me know in the comments below :)

Am LAX zu landen ist schon ein Erlebnis. Der Flughafen an sich ist nicht so besonders schön oder interessant, aber wenn man aus dem Flughafen rausfährt wird man von diesen großen LA Buchstaben begrüßt und spätestens dann weiß man, dass man es geschafft hat.

Flying into LA itself is already worth it. The airport is maybe not the most beautiful or interesting one, but when you drive out of the airport and you are greeted by these huge LA letters, you just know that you've made it.

Santa Monica

Nachdem mein Vater mich vom Flughafen abgeholt hatte (er war sowieso auf Geschäftsreise dort), sind wir direkt nach Santa Monica gefahren, da es mir dort beim letzten Mal so gut gefallen hat. Das erklärt auch wieso ich so "gammelig" angezogen bin, im Flugzeug soll es schließlich bequem sein (ja ich weiß, dass "Los York" shirt war einfach zu perfekt, da ich die erste Woche in York, PA verbracht habe, wo ich aufgewachsen bin und danach die restliche Zeit in LA :D ) Das Restaurant, das man auf dem zweiten Bild links sieht, war das erste Restaurant in dem ich dieses Mal in LA zu Abend gegessen habe. Jedoch zahlt man hier wirklich für den wahnsinnig tollen Ausblick und die Lage mit und dadurch war es nicht gerade das günstigste Essen - aber eins der besten. Santa Monica an sich ist - wie ich bereits erwähnt hab - eins meiner Lieblingsteile von Los Angeles. Der Pier ist wahnsinnig schön, wenn auch leider immer etwas überfüllt, und wenn ihr Glück habt und während den Sommer Monaten vor Ort seid, habt ihr vielleicht das Glück eins der kostenlosen "twilight concerts" mitzuerleben. Zum Shoppen ist man in Santa Monica auch genau richtig, denn vorallem die ganzen "typischen" Amerika Läden (Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, etc), die man definitiv zumindest mal besuchen sollte, sind alle in der 3rd Street vertreten. Jedoch bin ich letztlich dann lieber in kleineren Boutiquen z.B. auf der Melrose Avenue shoppen gegangen, aber dazu später mehr.

After my dad picked me up from the airport (he was there on a business trip anyways), we drove directly to Santa Monica, which had been one of my favorite places in LA for a while. That also explains my very casual clothes (yeah I know the "Los York" shirt is just perfect, cause I spent the first week in York, PA, where I grew up and then the following 6 1/2 weeks in Los Angeles :D ). The restaurant that you see on the second picture on the left side, was the first place I had dinner at during my stay. However, you do have to pay for the amazing view, so the restaurant was one of the most expensive ones I had dinner at - but also one of the best. Santa Monice itself is - as I have mentioned - one of my favorite places in LA. The pier is great and if you're lucky enough to be there during the summer months, you might have the chance to catch one of the free "twilight concerts" on the pier. If you wanna go shopping at all the typical "American" stores (Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, etc) - and you should at least check them out during your stay in the states - Santa Monica is also a great place since the 3rd street offers all of these and more. However, I did prefer shopping at smaller boutiques on e.g. Melrose Avenue but I will write about those stores again later on.

UCLA campus

Wie bereits erwähnt war ich in LA, weil ich die Möglichkeit bekommen habe an einer der Summer Sessions an der UCLA teilzunehmen (falls ihr mehr dazu wissen wollt, sagt bitte kurz Bescheid). Der Campus an sich ist aber auch einen Besuch wert auch wenn ihr dort nicht studiert. Man braucht circa 45 Minuten um von einem Ende zum Anderen zu laufen und er ist nicht nur wahnsinnig groß, sondern auch unglaublich schön. Ich kenn keinen einzigen deutschen Campus, der auch nur im geringsten mit diesem mithalten kann. Ein weiteres Highlight direkt auf dem Campus ist, dass Real Madrid jedes Jahr ihr Sommertrainingslager auf dem Campus der UCLA abhalten und man dadurch ganz leicht an die Spieler rankommt und ihnen beim trainieren zuschauen kann. Das Sommertrainingslager von Real Madrid findet meistens Ende Juli oder Anfang August statt und da ich Anfang August in LA angekommen bin, hatte ich das Glück die Jungs alle mal zu sehen (naja nicht alle Ronaldo und Khedira sind nicht aufgetaucht). Für einen rießen Fußball Fan wie mich, war das ein absolutes Highlight.

As I have already mentioned I was in LA because I got the chance to take part in one of the summer sessions at the UCLA (if you wanna know more about this, please let me know). The campus itself is a main attraction in Los Angeles. It takes you about 45 minutes to walk from one end to the other and it is not only incredibly big but also incredibly beautiful. There is not a single German college campus that can keep up with this one - not even close. Another highlight on the campus itself is that the soccer team of Real Madrid has a training camp on the soccer field of the UCLA each summer. It usually takes place at the end of July/beginning of August. Since I arrived in LA at the beginning of August, I got the chance to see all the stars (well not all of them - Ronaldo and Khedira didn't show up) there and since I'm a huge soccer fan, it was one of my highlights.

LACMA

Während meiner ersten Woche bin ich mit den anderen deutschen Mädels ins Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), da ich aber überhaupt kein Kunstfan bin, war das Museum leider nicht wirklich meins. Trotzdem war es eine Erfahrung wert, besonders weil ich die weltberühmten Laternen vorm LACMA sehen konnte und da wir UCLA Studenten waren sind wir alle kostenlos reingekommen. Ein weiterer "Ort", den ich schon in meiner ersten Woche besucht habe, war In-N-Out Burger - mein lieblings Fast Food Restaurant in California.

During my first week I also went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) with the other German girls, but since I'm not really a fan of paintings and sculptures, art museums are just never really my thing. It was free though, since we were UCLA students and I therefore didn't have to spend any money on it and got to see the famous lanterns that are in front of the museum. Another place that I already visited during my first week was In-N-Out Burger, which is my favorite fast food restaurant in California.

The Grove

Jetzt kommt eine meiner liebsten Erinnerungen überhaupt, denn ich hab Chris Colfer bei The Grove kennengelernt, wo eine Autogrammstunde mit ihm stattgefunden hat. Falls ihr nicht wisst wer Chris Colfer ist: googlet mal Glee - meine liebste Fernsehserie aller Zeiten ;) Eigentlich war ich am Tag bevor Chris da war bereits mit den Mädels bei The Grove und hab da Bella Thorne (Disney Channel Star) und Jade von der britischen Girlgroup Little Mix ("Wings") bereits auf der Toilette getroffen. Dann hab ich aber das Plakat gesehen, wo draufstand, dass Chris Colfer am nächsten Tag da sein würde, also bin ich direkt ein zweites Mal hin. The Grove ist aber sowieso ein Ort in LA den man unbedingt besuchen muss, denn man kann dort wunderbar shoppen gehen oder über den Farmer's Market schlendern und wenn man Promis sehen möchte, ist man hier auch nie falsch, denn es finden recht häufig Autogrammstunden oder kleine kostenlose Konzerte hier statt. Bella Thorne und Jade von Little Mix hab ich im Italiener am Eck gegenüber vom Kino getroffen, denn es hat sich rausgestellt, dass dort sehr häufig "VIP Check-In" ist, also dass die Promis sich dort treffen bevor die Show oder das Konzert anfängt. Wenn ihr also bereit seid etwas Geld auszugeben um Promis zu sehen, dann geht dort essen und verschwindet öfter mal auf die Toilette ;)

This is actually one of my favorite memories of the past summer: I got to meet Chris Colfer at the Grove where he was signing his new novel :) In case you're wondering who Chris Colfer is: just google Glee - my favorite TV show of all times. I actually went to the Grove with the other girls the day before Chris was there and already ran into Bella Thorne (disney channel star) and Jade from the British girl group Little Mix in the bathroom, but then I saw the sign saying that Chris Colfer was gonna be there the next day so I decided to go again. The Grove is a place that you definitily have to visit anyways, cause it's great for shopping or just walking around the Farmer's Market and if you wanna see celebrities in LA this is always a place where a lot of events take place. We actually ran into Bella Thorne and Jade in the bathroom at the Italian restaurant right across from the movie theatre and it turns out that the celebrity check-in is usually in that restaurant when special events are taking place. So if you're willing to spend a little bit of money, then have lunch there and use the bathroom quite often cause you never know who you'll meet there ;)

#3 Real Madrid 
Das Trainingslager von Real Madrid findet einmal im Jahr (Ende Juli/Anfang August) auf dem Campus der UCLA statt. Das Training endet meistens gegen 16 Uhr und dann hat man die Möglichkeit Autogramme von den Stars zu kriegen und teilweise auch Fotos mit denen zu machen. Zu übersehen ist das ganze eigentlich nicht, denn die richtigen Hardcore-Fans sitzen dann meist den ganzen Tag da.

The Real Madrid training camp takes place on the UCLA campus once a year (end of Juli/beg of August). The training session usually ends at about 4pm and after that you have the chance to get autographs and photos with the stars. It is impossible to overlook this event since the real fans usually sit there all day.


#4 UCLA
Auch wenn man kein Student ist, muss man sich den Campus unbedingt anschauen. Viele Teile vom Campus kennt man aus diversen Fernsehshows und Filmen u.a. 90210 und einen ähnlichen Campus findet man in Deutschland defintiv nicht.

Even if you're not a college student, you should defintily visit the campus. You might recognize some parts of the campus from TV shows or movie e.g. 90210.

Zusätzlich finden fast täglich irgendwelche Extra Aktionen statt, häufig auch mit prominenten Gästen vorallem im Barnes & Nobles, wo fast jede Woche ein Promi da ist um sein neustes Buch zu signieren. Nur Larissa schafft es ein orange-pinkes Outfit mit lila Lidschatten zu kombinieren und dabei großartig auszusehen... und dieser Ring! // Little Miss Carrie Bradshaw hatte in den 80ern wesentlich mehr Stil als dann später zu Mr. Big Zeiten... Ich liebe dieses Kleid :)

I have to give it to Larissa for being able to pull off a pink and orange outfit with purple eyeshadow... and omg look at that ring! // Little Miss Carrie Bradshaw had much better taste in the 80s than later when Mr Big showed up... I am in love with this dress :)

Leider waren weder Hart of Dixie noch Pretty Little Liars diese Woche fashion-mäßig vorne mit dabei, aber Zoe's erstes Outfit fand ich gar nicht mal so schlecht // Hanna hatte diese Woche das einzig wirklich großartige Outfit an, auch wenn es leider schwierig war ein vernünftiges Foto davon zu machen... das Kleid ist einfach bezaubernd

Neither Hart of Dixie nor Pretty Little Liars were very interesting this week - of course only fashion-wise - but Zoe's first outfit was kinda cute // Out of all of the liars Hanna was the only one whose outfit I loved this week... that dress is simply beautiful 

Victoria zeigt wie man sich dem Alter entsprechend kleiden und dabei absolut makellos aussehen kann // Da Emily gerade in mehr Bademänteln als Kleidern rumrennt, musste ihre kleine Schwester übernehmen und trug dieses unglaublich tolle Kleid mit einer Clutch, die ich ihr am liebsten durch den Bildschirm geklaut hätte // Margaux ist eigentlich immer sehr schlicht aber zeitlos gekleidet und was kann man in einem süßen kleinen roten Kleid auch großartig falsch machen?!

[OOTD] Little darling it's been a long cold lonely winter

In meinem letzten Post habe ich euch meine neue Statement Kette gezeigt, die ich von meiner Schwester und ihrem Freund geschenkt bekommen hab. Ich wurde daraufhin gefragt ob ich mal zeigen könnte, wie man eine Statement Kette tragen kann. Dieses Outfit ist sehr schlicht gehalten, damit die Kette wirklich im Mittelpunkt steht. Normalerweise trage ich jedoch solche Ketten auch zu ausgefalleneren Outfits und deshalb denke ich, dass ihr in nächster Zeit noch mehr Outfits mit dieser (oder anderen) Statement Ketten sehen werdet.

In my last post I showed you the statement necklace that my sister and her boyfriend got for me and I was then asked if I could show how I wear statement necklaces. This outfit is a very basic everday look that really lets the necklace shine and that I would usually wear to college or on a very casual afternoon with friends. However, I love dressing everything up a little more usually, so more looks featuring this (and other) statement necklaces will follow soon, so stay tuned ;)
